Location
Dehradun is situated in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand about.235 kms from New Delhi. According to the epic, Mahabharata, Dehradun was founded by Guru Dronacharya. By Rail:
Dehradun is a terminus of the Northern Railways with direct connections to almost all the metropolitan cities of India. The Dehradun Shatabdi Express, Jan Shatabdi and overnight Mussoorie operate daily services to and from New Delhi Railway Station.

By Road:
Dehradun is connected by the National Highway Network to all parts of the country. There is a regular bus service to New Delhi. Distances of some major cities from Dehradun are New Delhi - 235 km, Agra - 381 km, Jaipur - 493 km, Lucknow - 582 km and Chandigarh -130 km. The 5-hour drive from New Delhi to Dehradun is approximately 235 kms along a National Highway.
